With Community
Working With
In his community mural making, Joseph centers the same values of connection, exploration, and approaches in his personal work in the process of defining goals and discovering solutions as a dialogue with communities. His murals therefore are diverse in their subject matter, from figurative to abstract. They may illustrate personal narratives, environmental concerns, or cultural history as a response to the community he is working with. In all cases, Joseph uses his experience as a facilitator to creatively explore and discover unique outcomes as a result of the engagement process.
