Biography

Joseph Eduardo Iacona (he/him) is a Philadelphia-based arts leader, restorative pedagogue, and strategic consultant with over 15 years of experience in community-engaged public art. His practice is rooted in the "WITH" framework—a restorative methodology designed to move beyond transactional models and toward genuine, collaborative inquiry.

As a restorative practitioner, Joseph has managed more than 100 community art projects and artist residencies in schools, museums, prisons, and behavioral health facilities. He has partnered with internationally recognized institutions, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and previously served as the Director of the Mural Arts Institute for Mural Arts Philadelphia.

A recognized voice in the field, Joseph is a frequent keynote speaker. He has also served as a distinguished guest and scholar for the United Nations (UNITAR) World Public Art Conference. He holds a Master of Science in Restorative Practices from the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, maintaining an active studio practice alongside his consulting work.
